It is my belief that dentistry is not only about helping you maintain the best dental health possible, but also about encouraging your overall health. Because of this, I practice mercury-safe, biological dentistry in accordance with the standards of health and safety as outlined by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, along with other medical professionals committed to whole-body health.

WHAT IS BIOLOGICAL DENTISTRY?

Biological dentistry recognizes the negative impact that many materials commonly used in dentistry can have on a patient’s oral, physiological, and overall health. As such, biological dentistry is focused on the integrity of teeth and the oral cavity and uses materials and procedures that are safe for the body.

I am from Boonville, NC, one town over from our office in Yadkinville. My interest in dentistry began at an early age, as my mother was a dental assistant and I was frequently at her office as a child. As I got older, I became involved in volunteering at dental clinics with some of our local dentists. Following high school graduation, I attended Wake Forest University where I played volleyball and received a degree in biology. I received my dental degree from UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2016. It was my desire to serve others locally that brought me back to Yadkinville, NC and I am so happy to be providing dental care in my own community.

As a dentist, I am passionate about education and prevention. The mouth is the door to a healthy body! I work diligently with my staff to give our patients the tools to take care of and maintain their teeth for a long, healthy life. I want my patients to feel confident and proud of their smile and to be comfortable at their dental visits. My favorite thing about dentistry is the relationship I have the opportunity to build with each of my patients.

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering both locally and abroad, combining my love for travel with my passion to serve others. In my free time, I enjoy pursuing further learning through continuing education courses and hiking. I am also very passionate about food—growing, cooking, and eating it! My husband, Corey, and I live in Winston Salem with our dog, a Belgian Malinois named Finn.

Overall, I feel very blessed in my practice and home life, and I feel a great deal of gratitude for my patients, as I learn new things from you all each and every day. I look forward to an opportunity to help you achieve the beautiful, healthy smile you deserve!
