It is never too soon to start healthy dentistry for kids:
- Before baby’s teeth emerge, the dentist shows you how to keep gums clean. We provide nutritional guidance and answer questions about pacifiers, baby bottle tooth decay, and thumb sucking.
- Visits beginning at about one year of age help your child become relaxed in a dental setting, as the doctor monitors oral development.
- During grade school years the focus is on beneficial hygiene habits to prevent tooth decay. The doctor is also vigilant for orthodontic issues. Early intervention helps your child avoid the embarrassment of crooked teeth and need for braces in the future.
- While teens may resist the good advice of parents, they usually pay attention to an authoritative figure. Our dentists take this opportunity to address sensitive issues such as tobacco, alcohol, drugs, and eating disorders, from a dental perspective.
