Your safety is our concern
The FDA has advised ‘vulnerable’ groups - pregnant and lactating women; women trying to conceive; fetuses, infants and younger kids; those with neurological or kidney issues; and those allergic to mercury – to avoid dental amalgam. We take this advice very seriously. That’s why we consider mercury-free smiles as a priority!

Enjoy Cosmetic Porcelain Veneers in Yadkinville, NC

Porcelain veneers can provide incredible results for patients with crooked, stained, or cracked teeth. The ceramic will maintain the same sheen as natural teeth and is much more stain-resistant than dental bonding. At Virtue Dental Care, we offer porcelain veneers for patients who want to improve the look of their teeth, so they can smile with confidence.

Rapid improvement for your smile

Porcelain veneers are a thin ceramic restoration designed to cover your anterior teeth. You can craft them for either the top or bottom row, and they are bonded in place, so you can eat, speak, and smile with full functionality. In many cases, you can be fitted for veneers in as little as two visits.

Because they are so thin, Dr. Virtue will only need to remove a small amount of tooth enamel to prepare your teeth. In some cases, he may need to apply dental bonding to build up damaged tooth structure and provide a more solid foundation for your veneers. You will need to treat any underlying tooth decay or gum disease, but in some cases, this can be done the same day you’re fitted for your veneers. Once your teeth are prepared, Dr. Virtue will take impressions of your teeth to send to a dental lab, which typically takes around two weeks. Patients with sensitive teeth can wear temporary acrylic veneers in the meantime.

Once your veneers are ready, Dr. Virtue will prep your teeth’s surface and bond the veneers in place. The cement will cure in as little as an hour, so you can resume your normal eating and drinking routine the same day as your appointment.

Maintaining your improved smile

Porcelain veneers are durable and can last over 20 years with proper care. For patients with weak tooth enamel or fragile teeth, veneers can help protect their teeth from from further damage. However, they won’t prevent cavities if you don’t maintain proper oral hygiene and get regular dental cleanings. If you have advanced gum disease, your teeth may start to shift, and the veneers can fall off.  Call our office in Yadkinville, NC, today at (336) 606-0040 to find out more about cosmetic porcelain veneers, and learn how to improve your oral health.
