Rating: 5 Dermatologist Walnut Creek - Five Star Reviews By James W.
Dr. William E. Virtue DDS, NMD
I have been going to Dr. Virtue's dental office for many years after going to many other dentists in the area with no sucess. This practice is the TOTAL EXPERIENCE! From the time in walk in until you walk out you feel that not only are you in the best hands but that you are among experienced, caring friends. Not only do they care about their patients but about each other and it is apparent from the first visit. If you are looking for a dentist I strongly recommend Virtue Dental Care in Yadkinville. It is worth trying. Bet you can't just go one time!

Local biological dentist in Yadkinville is a fellow of the IAOMT
The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology exists to help promote safety and integrity in dental care. Their goal is to help dental professionals who desire to use safe techniques to restore oral health and promote systemic health.

When a dentist becomes an accredited member of the IAOMT, it means they have completed a thorough training program to understand the ideology and methodology behind biologic dentistry. Dr. Virtue of Virtue Dental Care in Yadkinville is an accredited Fellow of the IAOMT and in 2012, served as President.

If you are a patient who is interested in receiving care at a biological dentistry practice, it's important to find out if your dentist is an IAOMT member. This ensures that they are trained and certified in the safe removal and disposal of amalgam fillings. Ask them questions about their removal protocol and compare them to the steps on the IAOMT website.

Amalgam fillings are composed of 50% mercury, a known neurotoxin. Amalgam fillings will release mercury vapors from stimulation, which can occur during biting, chewing, and even brushing the teeth. These vapors are easily inhaled and absorbed into body. Not only is it damaging to the body, but a large portion of mercury contamination in public water treatment facilities is due to dental waste.

Mercury is considered an extremely toxic element, causing it to be banned in nearly all products; however, it is still allowed in amalgam fillings. Mercury exposure can lead to many health risks including autoimmune diseases, neurological disorders, chronic and mental illnesses. It can also accumulate in amniotic fluid, the placenta, and breast milk, which can put unborn children and infants at risk.

It's important to having mercury fillings removed because of the slow accumulation of toxicity. Many of the effects of exposure are not seen for decades, at which point the impact on systemic health can be extremely damaging.

When you visit Virtue Dental Care, you can rest assured that you are receiving the highest level of care from a dentist who is committed to biological dentistry and the safe removal of amalgam fillings.
